Location preferences. Many firms have several if not hundreds of locations, and you may have to apply to a particular location if you are interested in working there
Important Deadlines
Many consulting firms hire as a class, meaning that they accept applications at specific times every year. Here are links to some of the major firms application pages as well as the general timing of their application deadlines. Generally, applications are submitted by early summer, with interviews occurring late summer and hiring in early fall.
